For privately insured patients:

Please select the appointment type "3. ONLY FOR PRIVATE PATIENTS (LONG APPOINTMENT: initial appointment, skin cancer screening or surgery)" for your first appointment.

You will receive a regular private GOÄ invoice for the appointment.This also applies to patients with statutory insurance who book a private appointment and for missed appointments that were not cancelled. Cancellations are possible via your account in this booking tool, by email to dialog@dr-smith.de or by telephone (089-343052). You can submit the GOÄ invoice to your private health insurance company for reimbursement.

For patients with statutory insurance:

New patients require a thorough initial examination and consultation. Therefore, you can only schedule LONG appointments here, e.g. a skin cancer screening examination (also called Skin cancer checkup, examination of the entire skin). This is associated with an additional payment. Unfortunately, this restrictive measure was necessary in order to reduce the extremely high rate of missed long first appointments among new patients (from 90% to under 5%).To book the appointment, the amount must be paid in advance. You may choose either skin cancer screening (see there) or appointment type 1 ( for all matters). The booked and prepaid timeslot is reserved and kept free exclusively for you.This means that a refund of the additional payment is NOT possible if you do not attend the appointment. Rescheduling is also not possible. If it becomes apparent during the appointment that you may need additional services, we will provide these if possible or arrange them at an appointment agreed on site. It is possible that additional costs will arise if you have further concerns and these are not covered by your insurance or the type of appointment you have chosen. Additional costs will only be charged if you opt for them after being informed of the costs.

Please note that we CANNOT issue an invoice for these bookings because they are processed via a service provider. The practice incurs costs for this processing service. HOWEVER, the additional payments for appointments are CHEAPER here than when booking by telephone because this frees the practice team from administrative tasks. In addition, the selection of appointments is more varied than when booking by telephone. If you need an invoice, kindly book by telephone using our digital telephone assistant (chatbot) on the familiar telephone number 089-343052 (in case of addtional costs, these will be higher)

Please understand that the care of existing patients takes priority.

Experience has shown that an initial examination and consultation cannot be carried out within a standard appointment and these are therefore intended EXCLUSIVELY for known patients.This type of appointment will not take place for unknown patients - even if you are already on site in the practice.

For these planned, non emergency appointments, we ask you to come without children, as we cannot offer care or supervision.

As a single practice, the practice is unfortunately not currently equipped for disabled people in terms of equipment or staff. We regret this very much, but are therefore unable to accept patients in wheelchairs at the moment.
