Depending on the concerns, follow-up appointments may be necessary for comprehensive clarification and treatment.
You will be charged according GOÄ (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte). This also applies if you do not hold private insurance. Consultations will also be charged if the appointment is not cancelled.

Please do not use any lotion after taking your preparatory shower. Please DO NOT wear make-up (NOTHING, so NO powder, foundation, mascara, lipstick or lip gloss). If make-up is needed prior or after your appointment please take off your make-up in the bathroom before your appointment
and/or plan for time needed to apply new make-up.

If you do not follow the preparation instructions, inconspicuous skin cancer precursors may not be noticed.

Please remember your health insurance card so that we can provide services covered by your insurance (for example, issuing prescriptions).
If you regularly take medication (including non-prescription ones), please bring your medication list with you. Please also note your allergies for us.
Importance of skin cancer prevention
Skin cancer ranks among the top 5 cancer types. The rates have been rising for years and are currently around 120 new cases of skin cancer per 100,000 inhabitants per year in Germany. Of these, around 20 per 100,000 are particularly dangerous black skin cancer. This means that the rate has increased over the last 15 years almost doubled (source: AWMF, Krebsdaten.de)
