Skin cancer screening appointment for patients with public/statutory insurance aged 35 and over who have NOT had any skin cancer screening at the expense of their health insurance company IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. Otherwise, please select “Skin cancer check up not covered by public insurance” if this does not apply to you. Costs include your own contribution for the polarization method and use of the online service (third-party service). Your health insurance company will cover the rest.

Preparation

Please do not use any lotion after taking your preparatory shower. Please DO NOT wear make-up (NOTHING, so NO powder, foundation, mascara, lipstick or lip gloss). If make-up is needed prior or after your appointment please take off your make-up in the bathroom before your appointment
and/or plan for time needed to apply new make-up.

Notice

If you do not follow the preparation instructions, inconspicuous skin cancer precursors may not be noticed.

Documents

Please remember your health insurance card so that we can provide services covered by your insurance (for example, issuing prescriptions).

If you regularly take medication (including non-prescription ones), please bring your medication list with you. Please also note your allergies for us.

Importance of skin cancer prevention

Skin cancer ranks among the top 5 cancer types. The rates have been rising for years and are currently around 120 new cases of skin cancer per 100,000 inhabitants per year in Germany.
